About the Club
Established 1999
“Excellent grounds, well organised facility…”
Since 1999, The Onetangi Sports Park and Rangihoua Reserve have been home to the Waiheke Island Riding Club. Generations of Waiheke horse minded folk, of all ages, have enjoyed riding on the club grounds and using them as a base for further horse adventures on the islands bridle trails.

We have clinics, lessons, use of the jump course, round pen and dressage arena all available to members.
We are continually upgrading the facility and welcome new members.
We are kaitiaki of this whenua and strive to keep it in really good condition for those who use it now and into the future.
WIRC is a relaxed fun club for people to enjoy with their horses.
